My Newest Book Is Available Now
This is the front cover of my latest book. The book is now available to purchase from Borders or myself. (If Borders does not have it, please ask for it at the order desk. Thanks.)If you like stories about golf or business here's some good reading.
Join in with K.W. Carl as he plays the Senior Golf Tour. Transition with him to the business world after ten years of golf.
In this story I discuss challenges that you and I never hear about that businessmen face unless you ask, I have asked.
I hope that many of you want to read it. I believe that many Americans would be challenged to re-think how they see Islam in America.
A comment by Matthew Allen, a minister and author: This intriguing story of the Carl family will have you turning each page with eager anticipation. Watch the Carl family grow together, enjoy success, handle adversity, and personally battle a determined and dedicated enemy of our country. Well written and stimulating, Harlan’s The Best is Yet to Come will quickly become one of your favorites.
If you want to order a copy send me an email and I will send the book USPS. The cost is $19.95 plus $2.16 mailing.

Another Review of Hidden Creek Ranch
Jay Ledbetter
This book is truly the proverbial 'breath of fresh air'. With all the grunge gaining popularity these days, this one is more than welcome. A folksy story in a country setting, about good moral people who show by their living what they stand for. Not preachy in the least, but plenty of good examples for all of us to follow. There is a variety of interests to attract about anyone. The author deals with the routine struggles that we all face, but includes enough wins to keep us rooting for our friends in the story. It creates a relaxed atmosphere and unfolds at a pleasant pace. It would make fine reading to, and for, our young ones.

Another Review of Hidden Creek Ranch
By Patricia A. Warnock
Hidden Creek Ranch is such a wonderful "read." The book is so very refreshing. The author has been so very descriptive with all the many characters in this book. Hidden Creek Ranch is appropriate for any age group - from the youngest to the most elderly. Will, the main character in the book goes from rodeo rider to entrepreneur, all the while sharing his success and wealth with so many, many people. The book is truly a 21st century "cowboy" success story. Unlike most fictional books written now, the book is refreshingly clean and reflects true christian values. I can truly see this book as a "Hallmark Hall of Fame" movie. The reader will truly enjoy this book. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews

Review of The Arrival of Tom and Jenny by Alayne Hunt
There are few things on earth more precious than a baby. Our children and grandchildren are a special blessing from God. One of these dear infants, Mikayla Ryan, was the inspiration for the book “The Arrival of Tom and Jenny.”
Author, Byrl Harlan is the maternal great-grandfather of Mikayla. Harlan tells the story of two cats, Jenny and Tom. One of the cats, Jenny, is a friendly feline who is loved by everyone on the ranch. Tom, on the other hand, is quite cantankerous and does not make friend easily.
Later on in this tale, the challenge of fatherhood changes Tom for the better. The story of Tom and Jenny is taken from Harlan’s novel “Hidden Creek Ranch.” This time he teams up with Mikayla’s paternal great-grandfather and close friend, Vernon Shepherd, who does the illustrations. As these two fine Christian men will tell you, “this book is a work of love for their one and only great-granddaughter.”
I am reasonably sure that when Mikayla grows up, she will be quite proud of her great-grandfathers’ efforts. The colorful illustrations fit quite nicely with the story line. Plus the text is amusing and enjoyable. If you like cuddling up and reading to your favorite little bundle of joy, I recommend this book to you.
